Proto Runner

An auto-runner where you jump to the beat.

Press the spacebar to jump.

Time your jumps to activate pressure plates, open doors, and avoid spikes.

Land on jump pads to launch yourself over hazards and reach new platforms.

This is an updated version of my submission to Micro Jam 041.

The original theme was Platforms with the prerequisite Indirect Control.

The original version was incomplete — in this update, I’ve refined the core mechanic.  Instead of placing jump pads with a button, jumping is now more direct using the spacebar. There is now a start page and a credits page.

This is still a work in progress, but this version is more playable than the jam submission.
